How to Fix Your Car (and Survive Empty Fuel) in RUNAWAYS

What you get: A working car again — repair tools, Exon refuel, jerry-can backup, and a clear abandon-and-run plan when the tank dies under heat.

RUNAWAYS on Roblox is the southbound escape loop (Kansas → Oklahoma → Texas → Mexico). This page is not about Marvel’s Runaways. If your sedan is smoking or the fuel needle is dead, use the steps below.

Quick answer

1. Loot Drill, Spray Paint, and/or Toolbox repair tools (American Tire shops in later towns are the reliable shelf source; gas-station yards also drop tools).
2. Equip a repair tool, wait until you are not under active fire, then use it on the car (CLICK ON VEHICLE TO REPAIR / interact prompt).
3. For fuel: park at an Exon pump, Hold E, then hold click to pour. Carry a jerry can as backup. If the tank is already dry on open highway, abandon and run — do not stand still next to a dead car under stars.

American Tire stores show up more reliably in later towns and stock repair equipment on shelves. Grab several Drills (or equivalent kits) — mid-run repairs happen more than once. Some Exon lots also spawn drills in fenced yards.

How to repair (safe window)

1. Confirm the car is damaged (smoke, low vehicle health on the dash heart readout).
2. Equip Drill / Spray Paint / Toolbox from the hotbar.
3. Wait until shooting stops — standing still beside the car under squad fire wastes the tool and your HP.
4. Aim at the vehicle and follow the repair prompt (CLICK ON VEHICLE TO REPAIR).
5. Recheck the dash heart / health readout, then drive out before backup closes.

Repair restores vehicle health; exact percent-per-tool is patch-sensitive — trust the on-dash heart after each use. DPS and repair % figures are not listed.

Fuel, Exon pumps, jerry cans

Fuel cost rises as you push south. Empty tank on highway = walk + police pressure.

Exon Hold E

1. Park close enough that the nozzle reaches the driver-side fuel door.
2. Interact with Hold E.
3. Hold click to pour until the liter readout fills (example still: tank liters climbing at the pump).

Jerry cans

• Red jerry cans (~20L class portable fuel) spawn around stations / outdoor lots.
• Fill at the pump, then attach to the car (bulky attach bind — Q in the controls guide) so the can is not eating bag space.
• Top off both the tank and spare cans before long Oklahoma/Texas stretches.

Out of fuel on the highway

1. If a station is still reachable on fumes, crawl to the pump — do not fight mid-road.
2. If the car is already dead with stars climbing: abandon-and-run. Leave the sedan, break line of sight, and resume on foot / next vehicle only when clear — see Wanted heat.
3. Do not spend the last cash on weapons before the next tank — fuel ends runs.
